make me smile

Things that make me laugh...

I'm not sure how often this happens to other people... but in the mornings when I'm walking into school, I tend to forget that I haven't spoken to anyone yet since waking up and when someone says "hi," my response ends up being a very squeaky and timid-sounding "mornin'"... or sometimes, nothing comes out at all.  I find these situations funny enough because I feel so silly after cackling out a greeting, but I've had a couple times where I've remembered that my voice wasn't warmed up but then managed to wildly overcompensate and ended up yelling "HELLO!"  Mornings are the best.

My friend, Pavel, makes me laugh a whole lot.  I haven't spent too much time around him this semester but we sit next to each other in Stats.  Everything is funnier when he tells it.  He sat down today and told me that his sister just had meniscus surgery and she was really nervous beforehand.  Pavel, "I don't know why, there's a zero percent fatality rate for meniscus surgery.  The only deaths were patients who were shot on the operating table, accidentally.  And it's not like it's intrusive either. (mimicking a doctor) 'I'm sorry, but we're gonna have to go through the chest cavity to get to your knees.'" It is such a blessing to have funny friends.

And, I got into class today to realize half-way through the lecture that I was wearing my shirt backwards.  I had a hard time staying composed.

Thanks, Abby. You make me laugh! I had a similar situation happen. I was meeting the girls and we were going to the beach last summer, and I suddenly realized my shirt was on backwards. I tried to discreetly change it in my car, but I was trying to do it fast since we expected more people to be arriving soon...and so I had to explain what I was doing...I wondered why it was so low in the front!
